Drop-In Center
Our main program is the Mobile Drop-In Center — a drop-in center on wheels bringing showers, laundry, clothing, haircuts, hygiene, resources, and dignity directly into communities where access is hardest.
Mobile Drop-In Center
Access should not be a 4–5 hour walk.
In some parts of Tulsa and Oklahoma City, the nearest shower can be exactly that.
BeHeard Movement's primary program is our Mobile Drop-In Center, which is Oklahoma's only mobile drop-in center. On wheels we bring care directly into communities where access is limited and barriers are high.
Our Mobile Drop-In Center offers showers through shower trailers, laundry through laundry trailers, haircuts through our barbershop bus, clothing through clothing trailers, phone charging stations, hygiene, food, handwashing stations, case management, activities, and resources — all on wheels.
Our goal is not to duplicate services. Our goal is to use innovation to bridge gaps and barriers by bringing basic needs and support closer to neighbors who may otherwise go without them.
More than mobile hygiene — a mobile access point for dignity, trust, and next steps.

A shower isn't small.
It's a turning point.
Not showering for three months takes a toll on a person's mental, physical, and emotional health. A shower, clean clothes, a haircut, a charged phone, and a place to receive mail may sound simple — but for many unhoused neighbors these are the first steps toward feeling human again.
We have served neighbors ages 3 to 77. From a mom and her two kids coming to do laundry, a veteran who served our country, to the 77 year old who came to us needing a shower on her birthday and could barely walk. We primarily serve neighbors experiencing homelessness, but we are able to help anyone in need, including individuals and families who may have housing but do not have running water or reliable access to showers and laundry.
When people feel clean, seen, and welcomed, they are often more ready to engage with deeper support. That is why this program is not just about meeting immediate needs. It is about creating a front door to next steps.

Unhoused Guest
A Front Door to
Ending Homelessness.
Our Mobile Drop-In Center serves as a front door to help neighbors move toward stability and ultimately, toward ending their homelessness. We do not claim that our model is the only model that works. There are many organizations across both Tulsa and Oklahoma City COCs doing important work to help people move toward housing, healing, and hope. Ending homelessness takes collaboration, persistence, and innovation.
A shower by itself does not end homelessness. But it can help someone get there. When a person can shower, do laundry, access hygiene, charge a phone, receive food, and connect with resources — barriers begin to lower and next steps become more possible. For many unhoused neighbors, the path forward has not been clear — only full of barriers. Our role is to help create more access points toward stability and support.
Imagine not showering in 90 days. Would your mental health be the same? Would your confidence be the same? Would you still feel ready for work, relationships, appointments, or the next opportunity? Hygiene and access to basic needs affect people in powerful ways — both when they are available and when they are missing. That is why this work matters. Partnerships matter. People matter. And with collaboration, care, and consistency, pathways forward can begin to open.

Powered by
Partnership.
One of the most powerful parts of our Mobile Drop-In Center is that it creates space for other community partners to join us directly in the field. We aim to have at least 3–5 partners present whenever possible — allowing neighbors to access multiple forms of support in one place.
That may include dental care, health services, mental health support, diversion help, case management, art classes, and more.
This turns outreach into more than a stop for one service. It becomes a coordinated space of access, trust, and community care.
What if it
wasn't here?
Without the Mobile Drop-In Center, many neighbors would be left with impossible choices: walk for hours for a shower, go without clean clothes, miss important calls because their phone is dead, lose access to mail, or remain disconnected from care simply because transportation was the barrier.
That could mean a child going without a shower. An adult walking hours for clean clothes. A phone left dead with no way to call for help. A person missing resources simply because they couldn't get there.
It is the most accessible support within reach.
Virtual Volunteer Program
The World's First Virtual Volunteer Vending Machine
Most people who want to help simply don't live close enough to serve. And most services close around 5 PM — but homelessness doesn't stop when the workday ends.
The Virtual Volunteer Vending Machine removes two barriers at once: neighbors can access support anytime, and volunteers can serve from anywhere on earth. At BeHeard outreach events, screens allow neighbors experiencing homelessness to connect face-to-face with volunteers from around the world — through a screen, from anywhere.
